Best predictor of successful hire for a dental assistant is native

intelligence. So the Vanilla Wonderlick that measures that (taken by NFL players) is a good measure of that. I had a gal apply for job last time I hired and she had ZERO math ability. We pay salary, retirement, medical insurance, uniform allowance, CE expenses, paid Vacay &sick leave, bonus plan. She wanted to know what salary would be and I quoted. She called back next day and asked to be removed from consideration because she accepted a job elsewhere. I asked what they had offered. Salary was about $20 more per week. I asked about what benefits they offered.
She said "Oh, no benefits"...... crickets. I was stunned but thrilled that I didn't hire her.

Fortunately last hire I had to make was about 14 yrs ago cause I'm a good frikkin' boss.
